It all started across the pond when Ed Gibson, a cider bar own from Bristol, UK uprooted himself and found a new home in Austin, TX. With a wealth of cider knowledge he teamed up with Mark King and together produced their first cider, Gold Top in 2012. The demand for the traditional dry cider grew exponentially and resulted in the two opening a new cidery facility in Southeast Austin.
